Tuesday: Visit to the Da Vinci museum (Leonardo’s birthplace) and an artisan ceramic factory where traditionally rustic, old world Tuscan cuisine will be served. After lunch, we return to Villa Lucia for a cooking class and the preparation of the evening meal.

Wednesday: Bus trip to Modena (about 2 hours) to watch the creation of parmigiano, prosciutto, and the balsamic condiment. Lunch at an agriturismo, where only local ingredients will be used. If time permits, our outing ends with a visit to the Ferrari museum and/or a small tour of Modena. Guests will return to Villa Lucia for a light evening meal.

Thursday: A lesson on the pressing of the olives from the pickers in the fields will be followed with lunch, serving our freshly pressed liquid gold in various dishes. Villa Lucia olives will be brought to the mill at a scheduled time, at which guests will be able to observe the creation of our certified organic extra virgin olive oil. All are welcome to take part in preparing a rustic Tuscan country dinner with the freshly pressed oil.

Friday: Hunting for the wild white truffle with the truffle hounds will take place if weather and conditions are favorable. Lunch in a local restaurant, specializing in truffle dishes, will be followed by a return to Villa Lucia for a cooking class using the bountiful collection from the morning hunt.

Saturday: Departure after breakfast, for those not wishing to stay longer for a B&B program.

COST: Our cooking week is 1900 euros per person, and includes 6 nights lodging, breakfasts, 5 lunches, 5 dinners, artisan visits, cooking classes and transportation to scheduled programs.

Daily courses can be scheduled to meet the needs of individuals or groups.
